tour of britain

Tour of Britain comes to North Lincs

North Lincolnshire is hosting stage three of the OVO Energy Tour of Britain on Tuesday 5 September.

The race will start at 11am at Normanby Hall Country Park. There is free parking at the Hall and overflow parking in nearby Normanby village with plenty of staff and volunteers in the area to help you get parked and find your way to the race start.

If you are planning to head to Normanby Hall early to get a good spot to watch the start, you will be able to grab breakfast and a coffee from one of the traders inside the park from 7am.

The race finishes at Central Park in Scunthorpe just five miles from the start line at Normanby Hall, but the riders will cover 111 miles of the area before they get there so there is plenty of opportunity to see the race in multiple locations.

You can find a map of the full route on our North Lincolnshire Tour of Britain website as well as a list of road closures so you can plan your route around North Lincolnshire.

The race is expected to finish on the A18 Kingsway by Central Park at around 3.30pm.

NHS survey on extended GP practice services - have your say

doctor

NHS North Lincolnshire CCG is looking for the views and experiences of local people to help them design a new service specification for a contract to operate extended access GP practice services from April 2018. This is not about urgent care, which is served already by the GP Out of Hours Service.

The national NHS has committed to offering general practice services over seven days. However, it would not be affordable to open up all of our GP practices seven days a week.  Doing this would also make things very difficult for practices, as they already have problems recruiting new doctors and nurses.

From April 2018 additional funds will be invested to provide more routine appointments for GP services in North Lincolnshire outside normal practice opening times, over seven days. This will be in addition to any extended hours already offered by a patient’s own GP practice.

The CCG want to make sure this additional investment is used wisely to meet patient demand and are asking people how they might use these additional GP extended hours services.

Complete the survey online or if you would prefer a hard copy version of the survey please call  0300 3000 563 or email nlccg.embrace@nhs.net  and it will be sent to you. You can fill it in and return it to us by Freepost (no stamp required).
