Walking for health

The Walking for Health programme in North Lincolnshire is proving more successful than ever. Led walks are regularly being held around North Lincolnshire and are very popular. There are often between 30 and 60 people attending the walks, all of whom have a different reason to be there. Most of the walks are about 3 miles and they take place whatever the weather!

Many of the people who take part do so, not only to improve their health, but also to improve their social life.  It’s a great way to meet other people and make new friends.

Download the full list of walks taking place across the region up until the end of August.

For more information visit the North Lincolnshire Health Walks website or contact:

Christine Johnson - Health Walk Coordinator

Blood in your pee? Be clear on cancer

blood in pee

If you have seen blood in your pee even once, then you need to tell your doctor.  It might not be anything serious, but there is a chance it could be a sign of bladder or kidney cancer.

Make sure you look before you flush to see if there is any blood in your pee.  The blood might be bright red or it could be a pink or brown colour.  There could be a lot or there could just be a small amount.

If you are at all worried about any of this information then contact your doctor.

More information can be found on the Be Clear On Cancer website.
