CSMS #38970050 - Updated Instruction RE: ACE Processing Delays of FDA Entries During Peak Hours
CBP and FDA are aware of intermittent slowdowns during peak hours. Trade may experience delays during these times, mainly in the afternoon. CBP and FDA technical teams are actively working on a resolution.
To facilitate movement of perishable shipments to the importer’s premises, prior notice requirements may be filed in the Prior Notice System Interface (PNSI) or the Automated Broker Interface (ABI) PE Transaction. The prior notice that is issued may then be linked to the Customs entry.
