Education Professional Standards Board to hold virtual special meeting on June 16

(FRANKFORT, KY) –The Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB) will hold a special meeting via video teleconference on June 16 at 9 a.m. ET. The EPSB Waiver Committee will meet at 8:30 a.m. ET. 

The Education Professional Standards Board, in full collaboration and cooperation with its education partners, promotes high levels of student achievement by establishing and enforcing rigorous professional standards for preparation, certification, and responsible and ethical behavior of all professional educators in Kentucky.

A public comment segment is included on the board’s agenda. Public expression will be accepted via email only. The EPSB will accept written public comments that will be distributed to all EPSB members for review. The EPSB will only review and respond to information and feedback about matters listed on the board's agenda.

Anyone wanting to submit public expression must email KDEEPSB@education.ky.gov prior to the close of business on June 15, 2023. Individuals must provide their name and an email address where they can receive a response. Public criticism of individual staff members or individual board members is prohibited. Since no individual board member may act on behalf of the board, concerns about action of the board should be directed to the board as a whole.
