(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Commissioner’s Teachers Advisory Council (TAC) Kentucky Board of Education (KBE) Application Review Special Committee will meet virtually March 21 at 3:45 p.m. ET.
TAC is designed to improve the educational landscape of Kentucky by providing Kentucky’s commissioner of education with direct input from Kentucky’s classrooms. Bridging the gap between policy and practice, TAC was created to advise the commissioner on educational priorities so that Kentucky’s students are well-prepared for any career they choose. The ultimate goal is effective teaching in every school, every classroom, every day.
The special committee’s purpose is to review applications for the 2023-2024 nonvoting teacher member of the Kentucky Board of Education (KBE) and recommend three candidates to the KBE.
