Message from the Director: New Deputy Director and Division at DGS
It brings me great pleasure to introduce Ricardo DeLaCruz, who has recently joined the Department of General Services (DGS) executive team as Deputy Director of our new Enterprise Planning and InClusiveness (EPIC) Division. EPIC will consist of three DGS program areas: the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Office, Enterprise Planning, and the department’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Access efforts.
Ricardo brings to DGS more than 23 years of state service and 18 years of Human Resources experience, with his most recent position being the Chief of Human Resources at the Department of Social Services (DSS). Prior to his role with DSS, Ricardo was the Assistant Deputy Director of Human Resources with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), the Assistant Chief of Administration with the Department of Consumers Affairs (DCA) Bureau of Cannabis Control, and the Personnel Officer at DCA. Ricardo has extensive EEO experience with the implementation of policies for the Bureau of Cannabis Control, and he oversaw the collaborative investigatory responsibilities at DCA, Bureau of Cannabis Control, and DSS.
We look forward to bringing Ricardo's experience to DGS and know his expertise will lend itself to enhancing our programs, recruitment and upward mobility opportunities, and overall customer service. Please join me in welcoming Ricardo!

Sustainability Spotlight: DGS’ 1021 O Street State Office Building Receives a Leadership Award at the Sustainable Facilities Forum
At the Sustainable Facilities Forum on May 18, DGS was honored to receive a Leadership Award for the 1021 O Street Office Building.
