On August 31, 2016 CSMS #16-000773 advised of the following rule update “For drug commodities, updated rule to allow the drug registration description to be Unknown(i.e. UNK)”. This rule update is only valid for animal drugs (Agency Program Code VME/ Agency Processing Code ADR).
In addition the CSMS advised of the following rule update “ For an entity of manufacturer updated rule to allow either the country of growth (262) or country of production (39) in the PG06”. This rule is only valid for food commodities where Prior Notice requirements were previously met and a Prior Notice Confirmation Number (PNC) is being transmitted.
