Trade Policy Updates
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) published a notice in the Federal Register on October 12, 2016 announcing the “International Trade Data System Test—Voluntary Export Pilot Project.”
The pilot test will allow participating exporters to submit data from ATF Form 9 (Application and Permit for Permanent Exportation of Firearms) electronically through ACE. Participation in the pilot test is voluntary.
Details, eligibility requirements for participation, and contacts are included in the attached notice.
