The Washington State Developmental Disabilities Council is addressing the pressing issue of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) residing in jails, prisons, and hospitals. They are seeking proposals that analyze the existing challenges and provide actionable recommendations to decrease the number of individuals with I/DD in these restrictive environments.

To help address critical needs of hunger relief organizations across Washington, WSDA FA is offering the Resiliency Grants Program with at least $5.3 million in pass-through state funding to eligible hunger relief organizations, including those not currently participating in FA core programs.

It provides resources to collaborate with state agencies on environmental health decisions for communities most impacted by environmental hazards, including but not limited to Native Nations, Black communities, rural communities, youth, low income, unhoused, disabled, LGBTQ+.

WA DOH Maternal and Child Health Needs Assessment Discovery Survey
As part of a larger Maternal and Child Health Needs Assessment, we are asking families and community members across the state to take a short Discovery Survey about what families need to live their fullest lives and their unmet needs, especially families of children and youth with special health care needs.

Immunization Champion Award Nominations
In partnership with Within Reach Washington, DOH is seeking nominations for the Association of Immunization Managers (AIM) Immunization Champion Award. The Immunization Champion Award recognizes local immunization efforts, and we are looking for nominees that do an exemplary job of promoting immunizations in their communities. If you are interested in nominating someone, complete the nomination form and waiver on the AIM web page by May 10, 2024.
Rural Representation Is Needed on the Behavioral Health Advisory Groups
Join the Children & Youth Behavioral Health Work Group’s efforts to improve mental health and substance use/alcohol treatment services and supports for children, young people through age 25, and their families. There are opportunities for children, youth, and parents to participate. Nominate yourself or send an email to cybhwg@hca.wa.gov.
