We will have two primary topics:
Community-Driven Outreach partners Refugee Immigrant Services Northwest and Center for MultiCultural Health will share how they work to promote health and well-being within their communities.
Washington Women’s Foundation will award grants in the areas of Climate + Agricultural Justice, Non-Traditional Adult Education and Youth Mental Health and Connection Building. Letters of Inquiry are due by at 11:45 p.m. on December 6.
Public Health Seattle & King County is requesting applications for using community-centered approaches to address opioid overdose and prevention in King County. Learn more and apply by December 19th at 2 p.m.
The Stopping the School to Prison Pipeline Strategy in King County seeks to partner with communities to create school to life success pathways for young people 12 to 24 years old and their families, who are disproportionately impacted by systemic racism and most likely to be pushed into the criminal legal system or are already involved. Apply by January 30 at 2 p.m.
FundHubWA is a new site for climate and clean energy funding opportunities for individuals, businesses and nonprofit organizations.

The Health and Retirement Study, which looked at more than two decades of data from over 45,000 older adults in the United States, suggested that lifestyle, genetics and other factors at 60 years old can help predict brain health at 80. Read about it in this ABC article.
