New Curbing Along Street Centerlines in Downtown Kenmore

The City of Kenmore will install curbing along street centerlines on 68^th and 73^rd Avenues NE between Bothell Way (SR 522) and NE 181^st Street to enhance safety and improve traffic flow of the major corridors. Curbing was installed between SR 522 and NE 181^st Street on 61^st Avenue NE as part of the recent SR 522 construction (see above photo). 

The curbing will prevent left turns into and out of the driveways facing these roadways. Drivers may need to use alternate routes, including driveways on SR 522, to access properties in the vicinity of these modifications.  

Curbing on the centerline of 68^th and 73^rd Avenues NE is expected to be installed the week of February 13. Installation is estimated to take one day, weather depending. There will be lane closures between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to facilitate the installation, but both roads will remain open to at least one lane of traffic each way.
