As a reminder, the Food and Drug Administration will be deleting CFSAN product classes under Industry 50, and subsequently, all the product codes under these categories will be deleted, effective June 5, 2017.
The Food and Drug Administration will be deleting the following CFSAN Product Codes under Industry 50, Classes A and B:
50A—01-Color For Foods, Drugs and Cosmetics (FD&C) (Certified)
50A—30-Color For Drugs and Cosmetics (D&C) (Certified)
50A—60-Color For Externally Applied Drugs and Cosmetics (Certified)
50B—01-Color For Food (Not Certified)
50B—30-Color For Drug (Not Certified)
50B—60-Color For Cosmetic (Not Certified)
Software vendors, be advised these codes should be removed from ACE Prior Notice logic (the following will be removed from PN Logic in the Supplemental Guide: industry_code+class_code+group_code) in ('50A01','50B01').
Transmission of invalid FDA product codes will result in entry rejections.
