Draft Project Plan Template for Medicaid Demonstration open for review & comment

Washington invites public comment on the draft Project Plan Template and supplemental workbook, which Accountable
Communities of Health (ACHs) must use to submit their health system transformation
projects to the state under Initiative 1 of the Medicaid Transformation
Demonstration.
The Template
and workbook help guide ACHs through the project planning process, which requires detailed
descriptions of their selected transformation projects.
Send
comments on the Project Plan Template and supplemental workbook to medicaidtransformation@hca.wa.gov through June 30.

Revised draft Project Toolkit available
The draft Demonstration Project Toolkit has been revised. The Toolkit is a
guide for ACHs as they complete their Project Plans. Changes to the Toolkit are
based on feedback from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and
the public. This version includes more detail and clarity about
milestones and timelines.

About the Demonstration
The Demonstration is a
five-year agreement between the state and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid
Services (CMS) that provides up to $1.1 billion federal investment for regional
health system transformation projects that benefit Apple Health (Medicaid)
clients.
