Introduction from Luke Chapman

My name is Luke Chapman and I am newest member of the management team for Fostering Devon, I joined on the 10th of July as the Registered Manager. My first day started with a meeting with  carers and staff and was a great opportunity to see first-hand the great work being done and the shared desire to get things right.  I am relocating with my family from Pembrokeshire in West Wales and we are looking forward to discovering Devon and all its delights.

I have worked in Fostering for the last 17 years in local authorities, the independent sector and with various other national organisations. I trust that this experience will help me in the task of supporting everyone to do a great job. I am aware that fostering is unique in its challenges and its joys and I particularly look forward to hearing from you personally about the achievements of our children and young people so that we can share in your excitement of seeing them flourish.

Message From Sonia Sandiford

Just to let you all know that my last day with the Fostering Service is Wednesday 26th July.

When I joined last year I was only going to be with Devon temporarily for 3 months but it has lasted nearly a year and I would just like to say that I have really enjoyed my time in Devon getting to know everyone involved with the Fostering Service.

You’ll see a new manager has been appointed and I am sure you will all give Luke the same support that you have given me.

Thank you all again for your hard work during my time with you and I wish you all every success for the future.

Sonia Sandiford
