Oak Street Parking Facility

Oak Street parking garage approaching completion

Vertical construction of the Oak Street Parking Garage has been completed, according to the project’s general contractor. The project brings more than 400 new parking spaces to the downtown area. Based on the final, revised, and accepted project schedule, all construction will be completed by March 31 as long as there are no significant weather delays.

Improvements to Highway 65 interchange at Interstate 80

Placer County Transportation Planning Agency (PCTPA) is working with several agencies to  to reconfigure the Highway 65 interchange at Interstate 80.

Phase I, which has been funded, will add a third lane on northbound Highway 65 from Interstate 80 to Pleasant Grove Boulevard.

While Phase 1 is moving forward this year, the time to complete the overall project may take 20 years or more depending on available funding.

Placer Food Bank is remodeling space at their current 8284 Industrial Avenue, Suite 100 location, valued at nearly $50,000. Placer Food Bank provides hunger relief to El Dorado, Nevada, and Placer Counties.

McDonald's Remodel

McDonald's has applied for permits to demolish and rebuild their restaurant at 120 Harding Blvd. The valuation of the work is approximately $500,000. The original structure was built in 1972.

Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) is processing tenant improvements for approximately 9,700 square feet of leased tenant space valued at $145,000.  ACRC is a private, non-profit corporation working under contract with the State of California, Department of Developmental Services, to provide services to persons with a developmental disability pursuant to the Lanterman Act.

Sikh Temple

The Sikh Temple is processing plans to construct a 59,000 square foot temple at 1090 Main Ave. The project is valued at over $4 million.
