Town Hall in North Plains
It’s
important to me to hear what’s on your mind, especially when it comes to issues
facing children and families in our community and around the state. In
preparation for the 2019 legislative session, I invite you to join me, Representative
Sollman, and Children First for Oregon for a conversational town hall on Wednesday,
June 13, to talk about what is working
and what needs to change to help children thrive. The town hall will be held at
the Jessie Mays Community Hall and Park - 30975
NW Hillcrest Street in North Plains from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. I look forward
to seeing you and hearing your thoughts.
Free Dental Care for Veterans
Aspen Dental practices in Oregon, and in other states, are offering free
dental care to veterans on Saturday, June 9 - Aspen
Dental’s National Day of Service. Interested veterans are
encouraged to call
1-844-AspenHMM
(1-844-277-3646) to find a participating practice in
their community and to schedule a free appointment. Be sure to call in advance as space is
limited.
DEQ Testing at Local Businesses
It is more convenient to get your vehicle
emissions tests completed with DEQ Too. You can now get the test completed at
the DEQ Clean Air Station near you or at one of the participating businesses. For
more information on the DEQ Too program, follow this link to the website: https://deqtoo.org/

the gaps that are limiting student success in other schools.
The 14-member
committee will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, July 11, starting at 7 PM in the
auditorium of the Arts &
Communication Magnet Academy – 11375 SW Center Street in Beaverton.

The Hillsboro School District held their 4th Annual Student Art Walk on May 12 in downtown Hillsboro. My district office was asked to display a few art pieces created by students.
Here are pictures of a few of those participating in the scavenger hunt who dropped in during their search of discovery.
