Building Commission Approves Projects
 

MADISON — Today the State of Wisconsin Building Commission approved a total of approximately $73.8 million in key projects across the state. Highlights include: 

  • Construction of the Steam Turbine Rebuild project at the Department of Corrections' Central Generating Plant in Waupun;
  • Construction of an upgrade to the WPNE-TV and WHLA-TV transmitter systems in Brown and La Crosse Counties, respectively, to expand the statewide AMBER/Emergency Alert System (EAS) delivery network; 
  • Construction of the new engineering building, Sesquicentennial Hall, at University of Wisconsin-Platteville; and
  • Various maintenance and repair projects located in four counties across the state for the University of Wisconsin System.
