Mission:

The mission of the Mayor’s Office on African Affairs (MOAA) is to ensure that the full range of health, education, employment, social services, safety, business and economic development information, services and opportunities are accessible to the District’s African immigrant community. 

By serving as the liaison between the District’s African immigrant community, District government agencies, and the Mayor, MOAA aims to improve the quality of life of the District’s diverse African-born constituencies and their children, increase civic and public engagement in the District’s African immigrant community, and support community development.

Emergency Preparedness Specialist 

Serve DC

Serve DC engages District communities by building partnerships and organizational capacity, leading local and national volunteer and service initiatives, and providing meaningful service opportunities. The Emergency Preparedness Specialist for Serve DC will coordinate, develop and lead full CPR and First Aid trainings. They will conduct quality control of all trainings completed by staff and contractors on behalf of Serve DC. They will assist and participate in community meetings related to emergency preparedness awareness.

Associate Director

Mayor's Office on Women's Policy and Initiatives

The Office on Women’s Policy and Initiatives (OWPI) Associate Director works in conjunction with the DC Commission for Women, serve as a liaison and engage with community based organizations, associations, and businesses. They will participate in community meetings, activities and programs to further the Office’s mission and reach.

Program Analyst

This is a new position in the Emergency Preparedness and Resilience Division of the DC Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency (HSEMA), reporting to the Chief of Long-Term Risk Reduction. The Program Analyst will assist and support analyses of the resilience of the District’s supply chains. The incumbent will serve as senior technical analyst and oversee contractor support for a recently approved FEMA Regional Catastrophic Preparedness Grant to develop emergency food and water supply plans.

PATH 

The Project Director will be responsible for project leadership and implementation. They will represent PATH and provide leadership to project partners, inter-agency agreement partners, and among CDC-funded projects. The Project Director will also lead collaboration and network development activities with national partners. They will ensure that the project achieves results—including project deliverables and targets—in an effective and compliant manner.

Program Officer, Africa

Pact

Pact is recruiting for two Program Officers, one for the East & West Africa portfolio and one for the Southern & Francophone Africa portfolio. The Program Officer plays a significant role in directly contributing to their region’s success by coordinating, and delivering technical, management, financial, and administrative assistance to a country and project portfolio, and by guiding program delivery teams comprised of program delivery specialists and officers, in supporting their country portfolios.
