Meet the Presenters:
Emily Brown, FDEP Division of Water Restoration Assistance Emily is the Education Coordinator for the Nonpoint Source Management program. She is responsible for managing nonpoint source education projects and grants, including the Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ program.
Cesar Peralta, UF/IFAS Florida Friendly Landscaping Program UF/IFAS Regional Green Industries Best Management Practices Coordinator. 9 + years of experience teaching this Training. Originally from Venezuela, graduated as an Agricultural Engineer in 1983 at UF. Worked over 20 years in the Agricultural Business in rural Venezuela and 8 years as a Landscape/ Fertilizer/ Pesticide and Irrigation Manager in Florida.
Marissa Figueroa, Coastal Training Program Specialist at Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve Marissa has a B.S. in Marine Science from Florida Gulf Coast University. Marissa has been a part of the Training Program team for over two years where she helps to assist and coordinate science-based trainings for local decision-makers, from landscape professionals to policy-makers who manage our coastal resources.

Monthly Meet-Ups are FREE and held the first Wednesday of each month. Time and location are usually the same.
These meetings allow the Department to improve its communications with the regulated community. Through this program, attendees can learn, update and share information. Guest speakers provide opportunities to discuss current issues affecting Florida.
