SD Miss Bankr: Update Re: Status of U.S. Bankruptcy Court Operations and Hearings- Southern District of Mississippi

Consistent with Special Order #6 issued by the District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, effective June 1, 2020, the Bankruptcy Court will conduct hearings as follows:

Jackson Division:

Due to a continued high case rate for COVID-19 in central Mississippi, the Jackson Division will continue to conduct most hearings telephonically.  See Notice Regarding Hearings in Jackson Division for important details. 

Gulfport Division:

The Gulfport Division (including Hattiesburg and Natchez) will begin conducting all hearings “in-person” unless otherwise provided on a case by case basis.  However, the court will require participants to comply with the requirements of the District Court’s Special Order #6.  See Notice Regarding Hearings in Gulfport Division for important details.
