COVID-19 Testing Results Update for Kitsap County as of July 31

 

COVID-19 Data updates resume tomorrow, August 2

The Kitsap Public Health District will undergo a planned and necessary network outage and system upgrade from 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 31, until approximately noon on Saturday, Aug. 1. Phone service, COVID-19 data reporting, and the Health District's website will be affected. 

Due to the outage, the Health District will not post its regular COVID-19 data dashboard update on Saturday. The Health District will resume regular COVID-19 data updates on Sunday, Aug. 2.

 

Updated guidance for restaurants and summer camps

Gov. Jay Inslee announced updates to the July 24 guidance for restaurants, taverns, breweries, wineries and distilleries as part of Washington's Safe Start plan. Changes include clarification about which establishments can offer indoor seating, temporary outdoor seating guidance and counter-style seating clarifications. 

Inslee also released additional guidance related to overnight group summer camps. Read the memo for details.

 

Reminder: Fees waived for COVID-19 tests

The state Insurance Commissioner is requiring insurers to waive co-pays and deductibles for COVID-19 testing, and has answered frequently asked questions about health insurance and COVID-19.

You may be charged for tests or services for other conditions that may occur during the visit. If you visit the emergency room for COVID-19 testing, you may be charged a facility fee for the visit.

If you don’t have health insurance, visit the Washington Health Benefit Exchange to find out if you qualify for free health coverage or if you qualify to purchase individual health insurance under specific circumstances.
