New national restrictions, could your business keep trading?

HBC

Stay safe, stay in business

Many businesses are preparing to close as part of the new restrictions that come into force on Thursday (5 November).

We would like to highlight some exceptions to the restrictions that local businesses may not be aware of.

Non-essential retail

Non-essential retail businesses can operate click-and-collect (where goods are pre-ordered and collected off the premises) and delivery services.

These services must be delivered in a coronavirus-secure way.

Cafés, restaurants etc.

Hospitality venues such as cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars and social clubs; can provide food and drink for takeaway (before 10pm; and not including alcohol), click-and-collect, drive-through or delivery.

Businesses that need advice on providing takeaway services in a coronavirus-secure way can email the council’s Food and Safety Team at ehealth@havant.gov.uk

For the detail of the businesses that must close and exemptions, visit the GOV.UK website.
