Training Partners

CareerCenter training partners offer financial training assistance to eligible individuals. Check out these agency offerings:

Impacted by the Opioid Crisis ~ Out-of-work people who believe they have been affected, either personally or through family/friends, by the OPIOID CRISIS can apply at no cost for help getting back to work. Additionally, people who are unemployed and want to go into occupational fields related to addiction/recovery can also apply, for help with training and education related to working in these fields. For details, contact one of the Workforce Partners above..

  • The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, also known as "VR," is a Department of Labor program that helps people who have disabilities to get and keep a job. VR helps people who have physical, mental, or emotional disabilities.
  • Maine Adult Education is a public education and career pathways system that enables adults to be prepared for post-secondary education and/or employment.
  • Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP): Age 55+, unemployed, low income, and looking for work; A4TD (Associates for Training & Development) can help: apply at a4td.org or call (207) 577-6492.

Virtual Resume Workshop -  Offered Every Tuesdays, 1:30pm to 3:00pm & Thursdays, 10:30am to noon. Email Portland.CareerCenter@maine.gov and type “Resume Workshop” as your subject.
