We are looking for businesses in Havant borough (which includes Hayling Island, Emsworth, Waterlooville and Leigh Park) to complete a survey to tell us what they believe is most important for us to focus on over the next five years.
The feedback you give will be used to refine the Corporate Strategy for 2020-2025 before it is adopted by the council later this year.
The Corporate Strategy sets out how we aim to enhance the lives of residents, businesses and visitors over the next five years. It has been developed using evidence about our local area to identify where we can best direct our resources to have the greatest impact.
The survey will close at 5pm on Friday 12 February. To complete it, visit: https://havantbc.researchfeedback.net/s.asp?k=161072566662
Self-assessment customers will not receive a penalty for their late online tax return if they file by 28 February.
More than 8.9 million customers have already filed their tax return. HMRC is encouraging anyone who has not yet filed their tax return to do so by 31 January, if possible.
Anyone who cannot file their return by the 31 January deadline will not receive a late filing penalty if they file online by 28 February.
Taxpayers are still obliged to pay their bill by 31 January. Interest will be charged from 1 February on any outstanding liabilities. Customers can pay online, via their bank, or by post before they file. More information on how to pay is at GOV.UK.
Taxpayers who cannot afford to pay their tax bill on time can apply online to spread their bill over up to 12 months. But they will need to file their tax return before setting up a time to pay arrangement, so HMRC is encouraging everyone to do this as soon as possible.

Fraudsters are attempting to take advantage of businesses by sending phishing emails about tax returns and government grants.
Some can be very sophisticated as you will see in the example below (from an email sent to a member of council staff).
Always be alert to possible scams and if you spot one, report it to the National Cyber Security Centre.
