Veterans Affairs (VA) Puget Sound announced it is now providing COVID-19 vaccinations to all veterans at its clinics in Silverdale, Seattle, American Lake and Mount Vernon. All ages are eligible, but appointments are required (no walk-in vaccines). Call 206-716-5716 to schedule an appointment or contact your primary care team at the Community Based Outreach Veterans Clinic in Silverdale.

The VA clinics are receiving limited amounts of vaccine each week and their ability to expand vaccinations is dependent on supply. Those seeking more information can call the Veteran COVID hotline at 206-277-4040 (recorded message only).

Veterans must be healthcare eligible to be scheduled for vaccination, but do not need to be enrolled in primary care/Patient Aligned Care Team. The VA emphasized though all veterans are eligible to receive vaccine at their clinics, priority for appointments is still vaccinating the most vulnerable Veterans first; those who are healthier and younger may be scheduled for appointments further out.

Veterans are encouraged to get their second vaccine dose at the same place they received their first dose. When scheduling a second dose vaccine, remember to bring your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card.

The VA continues to follow its vaccination plan, which can be found here. The VA is proactively contacting Veterans to make vaccine appointments and prioritize Veterans at high risk, older, who have existing health problems and those living in nursing homes or other group living facilities. There is also outreach to those Veterans who may not be able to come to a clinic for a vaccination or who are hesitant to get the vaccine.
