On one-year anniversary of first emergency declaration, Wisconsin leads the country in COVID-19 vaccine shots used |
MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers and First Lady Kathy Evers today—exactly one year after Gov. Evers declared the first public health emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic—received their second dose for COVID-19 at SSM Health in Madison. The governor received his first vaccine dose on February 12, while the First Lady received her first dose earlier that same week. Gov. Evers and First Lady Evers received the vaccine as members of the eligible population under the state’s currently eligible population, which includes individuals over the age of 65. |
