Letter from the Mayor

Dear Washingtonians,

The sacrifices of our community over the past year and a half have saved lives and gotten us to where we are today – on the cusp of crushing this virus (reminder: if you are not yet vaccinated, get vaccinated). The Fiscal Year 2022 Fair Shot Budget, which I submitted to the Council this week, honors those sacrifices by making big investments in setting our community up for a strong recovery.

In the Fair Shot budget, we invest in what we know will be the pillars of an equitable recovery:

This $17.5 billion budget uses the significant federal aid received through the American Rescue Plan to provide relief, recovery, and growth opportunities for residents and businesses in all eight wards. With this budget, we are doubling down on our commitment to build a more equitable Washington, DC and giving more Washingtonians a fair shot.

Sincerely,

Muriel Bowser

Vaccine Exchange Program

Get Vaccine Her

This week, DC Health and the Office of the Chief Technology Officer launched a new program that connects District organizations, including faith-based and community-based organizations as well as District employers, with vaccine providers that can assist with providing COVID-19 vaccinations to large groups in the community or workplace.

Through the Vaccine Exchange Program, organizations are now able to submit requests for a vaccine clinic and vaccine providers are able to accept those requests and schedule clinics.

Organizations interested in offering a vaccination clinic can submit a request at request.vaccineexchange.dc.gov
