Launched in 2012, through the Small Business Plus! program Montgomery County places deposits with local community banks. Participating banks commit to an equal amount of lending, doubling the impact on the local economy. In Fiscal Year 2020, the County had deposits of about $50 million in community banks, making $100 million available to be loaned to local businesses. Over the life of the program, almost 3,000 jobs have been created. Learn more about Small Business Plus!
