ASSESSMENT LITERACY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Free Online Canvas Courses Available for Wyoming Educators

  • In partnership with the National Center for the Improvement of Education Assessment, the Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) created two asynchronous online professional development courses that consist of multiple 15-30 minute modules. One course focuses on assessment literacy through the lens of district and school leaders. Another course focuses on assessment literacy through a classroom teacher’s perspective.
  • The purpose of each course is to help increase educators’ and leaders’ capacities to create a well-balanced district assessment system.
  • For more information regarding the content of each course, please view the Assessment Literacy Leader Guide and the Assessment Literacy Teacher Guide.
  • To register for a course in Canvas, educators must have a WyEdPro account and have signed the Accepted User Policy. Instructions for registration are included here.

2021-22 WY-TOPP BRAILLE SURVEY FOR ALL DISTRICTS

Attention: District Test Coordinators (DTCs) and Service Providers for Visually Impaired Students

  • The WDE is providing this survey link for Districts with students using Braille.
  • All districts must complete this survey even if there are no Braille readers.
  • Complete the information for each student who is a Braille reader in your district.
  • This survey details the type(s) of delivery they use to access the statewide assessment system.

NEW LOOK FOR WY-TOPP/WY-ALT PORTAL

  • The wyoassessment.org portal site has been updated.
  • All portal resources found on the previous Wyoming Assessment Portal are available within the new site, including Test Administration Manuals, User Guides, FAQs, Secure Browsers, and access points for Cambium Assessment, Inc. user interfaces (TIDE, Training & Operational Test Administrator Interfaces, Centralized Reporting, and Test Administrator Certification Course, etc.).
  • To register for email alerts when announcements are posted to the Wyoming Assessment Portal, click the Register for Email Updates button at the top or the bottom right corner of the portal page.
