Meyers Area Evacuation Downgraded
The Sheriff's Office is downgrading the evacuation order to a warning for all residences in the area of Meyers that are north of the traffic circle at Highway 50 and Highway 89. This includes the area of Pioneer Trail from Meyers through Elks Club, Upper and Lower Apache, Keetak, Cornelien and all residences accessed from Sawmill on the northern edge.
Included in this downgrade are Pinewood Dr., Lindenwood Dr., Cornelian Dr., and Elwood Dr. If you can access your street before the roundabout (coming from the Tahoe area) from Highway 50 without driving onto or crossing Highway 89, you can return home.

Christmas Valley
Blitzen Road
North Upper Truckee
Anything south of Sawmill road on Lake Tahoe Blvd.
As you return to your residences, please be warned that you may not have working utilities. Please be careful in the area as there is still work being done by emergency personnel. Drive slowly and be safe.
