District V Supervisor, Sue Novasel Updates and Input Newsletter

This week, our County Department of Transportation (DOT) held a Town Hall meeting to discuss their road restrictions pilot program in Meyers. The idea was to stop heavy traffic from occurring on North Upper Truckee and Sawmill Roads during busy holidays and weekends. Unfortunately, with COVID and Caldor fire issues occurring this year, it was difficult to obtain a good analysis of the program. The pilot program will start up again next spring when (hopefully) they can gather better data. If you missed the presentation, please go to the link below to watch the recording of the meeting.

Also, the Community Economic Development Agency of Pollock Pines (CEDAPP) will be holding an event called “Stars in Action – a Tribute to First Responders of the Caldor Fire”. The event will be held Thursday, November 11th at the Apple Mountain Golf Resort. If you miss the event but still want to donate, contact CEDAPP at (530) 613-1332 for more information.
