Networking is a term used when speaking with colleagues, friends, family, and neighbors and there is an exchange of information between them due to common profession or interests.  It is the “key” to opening a door to a new career. 

Advocate for yourself in a hectic job market. You may be the best candidate for a role, so it's important to convey the value you'll bring for the best impression. To stand out in the candidate pool, you need to show employers you have the right qualities and qualifications.

Looking for work today means finding that perfect match.  Jobseekers have unique priorities to consider like flexible hours, distance from home or childcare, work environment, unique benefits- and businesses are responding! Let us help by taking this survey!

All Maine adults age 18 and older are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster shot, regardless of underlying medical condition. The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention has determined that all Maine residents live or work in high-risk settings, justifying the expansion of booster eligibility.

United Ways of Maine’s mission is to improve lives and create lasting positive change across Maine.  There are eight United Ways of Maine (UWME), each independently incorporated, and each governed by local volunteers.

Maine’s Hire-A-Vet Campaign is underway.  Keep an eye out for the upcoming workshops and hiring events. All hiring events & most workshops are open to the public.

November is:

National Family Literacy Month - This month, get the whole family snuggled up on the couch and open up a good book. Studies show that reading aloud with mom or dad is the most important activity when it comes to preparing children to read on their own. #FamilyLiteracyMonth

The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is a community service and work-based job training program for older Americans. The program provides training for low-income, unemployed seniors.
