Remote and In Person Data Now in STAAR Student Listings

To the Superintendent Addressed:
The 2021 STAAR student listings in the Texas Education Agency Login (TEAL) Accountability application have been updated to include school year 2020–21 remote and in person data. Please note that the data in these reports are confidential. The following table describes each additional field in the listing:

Indicates the percentage of time student was reported as being instructed through the remote synchronous method. |

% Asynchronized
|
Indicates the percentage of time student was reported as being instructed through the remote asynchronous method. |
|
% Remote
|
Indicates the percentage of time student was reported as being instructed through the remote synchronous/asynchronous method. |
|
% In Person
|
Indicates the percentage of time student was reported as being instructed on campus. |
|
>=50.0% Remote SY 2020–21 |
Indicates whether the student received remote instruction for at least 50 percent of the 2020–21 school year. |
These data are for informational purposes only and do not impact 2021 accountability calculations. Confidential data tables with remote vs. in person performance and participation will also be posted in TEAL Accountability by December 17.
