Gov. Evers Seeks Applicants for Coroner of Green Lake County

MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers announced today that he is seeking applicants for appointment as coroner in Green Lake County. The appointment will fill the vacancy created by the passing of Daniel “Dan” Krieser, who passed away on Nov. 18, 2021, at the age of 54. The new coroner will complete a term through Jan. 1, 2023.

“Dan was selected to fill the role of Green Lake County Coroner just a few short months ago, and he was chosen for his apparent professionalism and expertise in his field,” said Gov. Evers. “The state of Wisconsin is grateful for his service, and we extend our deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and colleagues as they continue to mourn his loss.”

Interested applicants must submit an online application with a cover letter detailing professional and academic qualifications, civic activities, and community involvement. The application can be found on the “Apply to Serve” page on Gov. Evers’ website at:
www.evers.wi.gov. Application materials must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Jan. 28, 2022.

Potential applicants with questions about the application process may contact the Gubernatorial Appointments Office, at (608) 267-3675 or
