"Sole of Service" Shoe Drive was a success!

A huge thank you to everyone who donated shoes to my sorority -- the Delta Sigma Theta's "Sole of Service" Shoe Drive this past weekend. I am happy to announce that we surpassed our goal of 109 pairs of shoes and received 307 pairs! Project 150 and New Beginnings Ministries will split the donations and will go out into the community to give shoes to those in need. Additionally, we received some clothes and children shoes. I appreciate everyone donating to our cause!

Get outdoors Nevada native habitat garden tour

I had such a great time meeting with the team from Get Outdoors Nevada over the weekend. They took me on a wonderful tour of Craig Ranch Regional Park’s Pollinator Native Habitat. The area is a livable wildlife habitat for threatened and endangered pollinators, birds and reptiles. To learn more about these educational tours or to volunteer with this great group, visit getoutdoorsnevada.org
