CAMINO COMMUNITY MEETING

In memory of Julianna Abballo...

Two weeks ago today, tragedy struck when 14 year-old Julianna was killed by a hit-and-run driver.   Camino is a close-knit and caring community and I know we cannot begin to know the pain that the Abballo family is walking through, and yet our collective hearts grieve over her senseless death.

I think each of us feel helpless, and yet we are motivated and determined to do something in wake of this unthinkable tragedy.

Yesterday, I convened an interagency meeting to debrief on the events of February 8th while collaborating on potential and appropriate next steps.  I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to these participants who each are thoughtful and compassionate leaders and deeply committed to our community. These community partners/agencies are here to support this Community.
