WY-ALT

End of Assessment Window Approaching

  • Students must have multiple opportunities to participate in the WY-ALT assessment. It is important to assess students as early in the window as possible to allow time to give students multiple opportunities to attempt the test.
  • Plan to have WY-ALT assessment administration completed by April 15, 2022.

For more information, contact Becca Velikaneye, WDE Assessment Consultant, at 307-777-6804 or rebecca.velikaneye@wyo.gov.

WY-TOPP

Homeschool Students and WY-TOPP Testing

Any homeschool student or their parents may request to take the WY-TOPP tests.

The tests may be administered to them at the discretion of the school or district. However, if a homeschool student spends more than 50% of their educational time in a public school setting, regardless of subject, they must take the WY-TOPP assessments.

Please note: Any homeschool student who receives services or classes at a district school should already be a part of the nightly upload as a primary enrolled student with the homeschool indicator. In order to identify homeschool students not enrolled within the student information system, the WDE must collect information to associate them with a school in TIDE. The WDE687 collection will be used to collect information on homeschool students not served by a school district. This collection will open April 5, one week prior to the testing window.

The collection will be submitted through the DCS (Data Collection Suite). The WDE687 Certify role will need to be assigned to the WyEd User account of the person submitting the roster. To access the data collection form, guidebook, and error report go to the Forms Inventory Page and click on the arrow to the left of the WDE687 and then to the  Documents tab.

For more information, contact Michelle Carroll, WDE Assessment Consultant, at 307-777-3618 or michelle.carroll@wyo.gov.

TIDE DISTRICT ADDRESS VALIDATION

District Coordinators Must Validate Each Window

  • District Test Coordinators must validate the district contact and address during each order window before paper orders will ship from Cambium.
  • To complete this step: Log into TIDE and select the paper orders needed in the “Test Administration” menu. Select “On-time (Initial) Orders” or “Additional Orders” under the Orders module. In the “Contact Info” section click the Verify button at the bottom center of the section to verify information for all paper orders in the district.
  • For additional details about verification, refer to page 30 of the TIDE User Guide
