WY-TOPP

Student Survey to be Given at the End of Testing

  • A student survey is available to all students after they complete their content assessments for WY-TOPP. The survey will appear as a separate test opportunity.
  • The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) will continue to collect information to help measure the impact of the pandemic on student learning.
  • Test Administrators (TA) need to make sure students complete the survey before the TA ends the last test session.

Print-on-Demand

  • When using the print-on-demand function during testing, some TAs may receive a blank page with no items reflected on the PDF to print. 
  • This is currently impacting TA interface sessions that are created on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
  • As a workaround, please use Firefox and Safari to create test sessions when proctoring students with the Print-on-Demand accommodation.

WY-TOPP and WY-ALT

Centralized Reporting Scores for Science

  • WY-TOPP and WY-ALT science scores will not be available in Centralized Reporting until after Standard Setting.
  • In June, several Wyoming teacher panels will convene to determine the Performance Level Descriptors (PLDs) and to conduct a Standard Setting, whereby proficiency levels are defined and corresponding cut scores are set. In future years, summative results for science will be available in Centralized Reporting immediately following student test submission.

Audio on iOS Devices

  • When using an iPad during testing, some students may experience audio issues during the soundcheck. This ranges from being unable to pass the soundcheck to losing audio in the test after the check was passed. 
  • Please update your iOS device to version 15.4 to avoid audio issues.

Spring Online and Paper Testing Window: April 18-29, 2022

  • After successfully completing the Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents portions of the WorkKeys assessment, students have the opportunity to earn the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC).
  • Individuals who score higher on the WorkKeys assessments and earn higher levels on the NCRC can expect short- and long-term increases in wages. View additional employment outcomes here.
