S.R. 44 to close east of Martinsville for culvert replacements

MORGAN COUNTY, Ind.— Indiana Department of Transportation maintenance crews plan to close S.R. 44 on Thursday, April 28, to replace two culverts east of Martinsville. The road will close to thru traffic from approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Crews will work from east to west, starting at a culvert just west of Deerfield Boulevard, followed by a second location between Cope Road and Wampler Road. Both replacements are expected to be complete on Thursday. The closure will be shifted to Monday, May 2, if necessary due to weather.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
