Administration Reminders
- Standard Time Paper Administration: April 26, 2022.
- Accommodations Paper Administration: April 26-May 6, 2022.
- Standard Time and Accommodations Online Administration: April 26-May 5, 2022 (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday only).
- Before test day, review the Test Coordinator Information Manual and the appropriate Administration Manual found under the Resources section of Step 5: Administration on the WY ACT Site.
- Should issues arise during testing, contact ACT at 319-337-1591.
- The receipt deadline to return test booklets, used answer documents, and used test administration forms from the standard time test date to ACT is May 4, 2022. Note: Late-arriving answer documents will not be scored.

Student Not Tested Form (SNTF)
- It is the responsibility of the District Test Coordinator (DTC) to ensure all students complete statewide testing.
- In the event a student does not complete all or any portion of the test, the DTC must complete and submit this form to the WDE.
- Student Not Tested Forms are due by May 3, 2022.

EDUCATORS NEEDED: WY-ALT Content and Fairness Review
- The WDE seeks Wyoming educators to participate in the WY-ALT Content and Fairness Item Review Committee meetings (ELA, Math, Science).
- Meetings will be held virtually the week of June 20, 2022.
- All applications must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. on May 26, 2022 to be considered.

Science results for both WY-ALT and WY-TOPP will be delayed in Centralized Reporting until late summer/early fall. As Wyoming is going fully operational with assessing the new standards this year, for both ALT and TOPP, the state must perform a standard setting for each in order to establish the cut scores for each performance level. Since the test is assessing students' knowledge and skills on the new standards, we cannot report results the same as we have the past few years.
For the state test, results are not just a raw score or percent of items answered correctly. There are a lot of fun formulas that go into the final interpretations and results for state tests. Statistical methods are used to determine how raw scores will be interpreted and what performance levels are assigned to each score. This summer, educator panels will work together, using content and grade level expertise along with assessment data, to make informed judgements, setting those cuts. This will be done looking at actual student data and items assessed on the test this year.

Paper Test Additional Order Window
- The WY-TOPP Summative additional order window will remain open until April 29, 2022.
- Orders must be placed in TIDE and include a comment indicating the type of required accommodation (IEP, 504, EL, etc.).
- District Test Coordinators must verify the shipping address for each order.
- Note: Select WY-TOPP Paper Orders from the Test Administration drop-down when logging in to TIDE.

Centralized Reporting Scores for ELA with Writing
- ELA scores for grades 3, 5, 7, and 9 will not be posted to Centralized Reporting until students submit both the ELA and writing assessments.
- Please note that some ELA scores may take up to 10 days to post to Centralized Reporting because of the quality assurance process for scoring the writing submissions.

New Authoring Tool Will Be Released on May 24, 2022.
- Note that we extended the training by 1 hour to add professional development on how to write quality assessment items, ensuring they provide valid and reliable information.
- The Authoring Tool will allow educators to create and share assessments and assessment items aligned to the Wyoming Content and Performance Standards (WYCPS) or the Wyoming Extended Standards (WYES).
- Educators can create assessments from a provided bank of items or by creating their own items.
- Items type options are aligned to WY-TOPP and WY-ALT summative assessments.
- Assessments will be available to students in the Test Delivery System.
- Results will be available in Centralized Reporting.
- Available for all 10 content areas (WYCPS) and for the three content areas tied to the WYES.
- There is no cost to the school or district to use the Authoring Tool.
Training on the Authoring Tool
- Participants will learn:
- How to write effective and valid assessment items.
- How to create and publish online test items and assessments.
- How to create workgroups to share items and assessments.
