County leaders gathered for a news conference on Feb. 11 to provide an update on the investigation of the child sex abuse allegations that have roiled the county this past week. Police are still searching for potential victims and working to determine exactly what went wrong. School officials are providing counseling to victims and reminding those who have direct contact with students of the protocols for recognizing and reporting inappropriate behavior.
"This a painful situation for Prince George's County," County Executive Rushern L. Baker said. "To think that a person that we trusted would deliver everlasting harm to our young people, our babies, is heartbreaking. It is all of our jobs, it is my job, to protect them from predators." VIDEO
