RESIDENTIAL: We are two weeks away from the close of Round 2 of the Capital Area Solar Co-op - in Maryland, 223 of your neighbors have joined the co-op at no cost and have received information on how they can install solar panels on their roof. Exciting New Study to Reduce Air Leaks

RESIDENTIAL/CONTRACTOR: The Department of Energy is looking for contractors and homeowners to participate in an exciting new study. If you are in MD, NC, TN, OH, or NJ you may qualify. So, if you participate,  you could get your home insulated and air sealed for FREE!

EV Charging for Condos, Co-ops and Townhomes

RESIDENTIAL: Charging at home is one of the biggest benefits of driving electric, making it an important asset for condos, co-ops, and townhomes. Multiple communities across the county have installed charging or begun exploring the process. DEP is hosting a webinar in collaboration with the Commission on Common Ownership Communities (CCOC), Department of Permitting Services, Pepco, and Montgomery County Green Bank to answer key questions about installing charging. The webinar will be held on two dates:  Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 6-8pm and Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 10am-12pm. 6 Years of Senior Planet in Montgomery

COUNTY: On June 17, 2022, Senior Planet in Montgomery County gathered at the Silver Spring Civic Building to reflect on its growth and celebrate with its dedicated community of seniors. As part of the event, participants shared their experiences with Senior Planet’s programs. Montgomery Energy Connection was also present performing a lightbulb exchange and sharing tips to save money and energy in the county. Since partnering with Montgomery Energy Connection in 2020, Senior Planet in Montgomery has had the privilege of serving over 1,600 participants virtually and in-person in over 100 programs.
