What to Know!

Going outside the norm in this issue.  Losing money or property to scams and fraud can be devastating. Americans filed more than 2.8 million reports of fraud in 2021, with the extreme amount of fraud and scams going on around the world today, it is important to know what you can do to combat this ever growing problem; and that you are not alone!

The sooner you take action, the better you can protect yourself and help others.

Maine has grown slightly in population due to COVID and the strong interest in the safer suburbs and smaller metro areas. It has long been established that safe, decent, and affordable housing is a basic human necessity. Access to quality, affordable housing helps create a stable environment for families and children to grow and prosper.  Transportation and child care continue to be two of the larger reason people are not going back to work.  The COVID pandemic may have changed the housing market forever.

August is:

National Back to School Month. Back to School Month gears up teachers, schools, parents, and students for a season of education. Despite all the excitement, the expense of going back to school can put a damper on going back to school. Fill-the-bus events, backpack programs, and teacher supply initiatives help to fill the gaps. Organizations around the country pull together to make the first day of school fun every year.

Notable Quote:

Honor to the soldier and sailor everywhere, who bravely bears his country’s cause. Honor, also, to the citizen who cares for his brother in the field and serves, as he best can, the same cause.”

- Abraham Lincoln
