Fall Interim Window: September 13-October 7, 2022
Modular Window: September 13, 2022-June 15, 2023
- The optional WY-TOPP Fall Interims include ELA and mathematics assessments for students in grades 1-10 and science for students in grades 8 and 10.
- The optional on-demand WY-TOPP Modulars include ELA and mathematics in grades 1-11 and science in grades 3-high school.
- Review the following testing documents:
Writing Scoring Workshop
- Cambium Assessment (CAI) and Measurement Incorporated are facilitating a two-day Writing Scoring Workshop.
- Throughout the workshop, educators will be trained to use the WY-TOPP writing rubrics and develop an understanding of scoring processes used during the summative and interim assessments.
- Educators will also examine the comparability of teacher assigned scores with CAI's automated scoring engine.
- Space is limited. If interested in attending, please complete the interest survey. All applicants who complete this form by September 23, 2022 will be considered.
OPTION 1: October 17-18, 2022 (Monday and Tuesday) in Cheyenne.
OPTION 2: October 20-21, 2022 (Thursday and Friday) in Riverton.

- Schools can order additional materials for the fall senior retake in PAnext until October 7, 2022.

2022-23 ACCESS for ELLs and ALT ACCESS For ELLs Administration Manuals are Available
- The ACCESS for ELLs Test Administrator Manual, District and School Test Coordinator Manual, and Test Administrator Essentials have been updated for the 2022-23 testing year and are available in the WIDA Secure Portal.
- New test administrators and new test coordinators should read through the manual relevant to their role in testing.
- Experienced test administrators and coordinators should review the updates in the ‘New for the 2022-23 School Year’ section, and review other sections as needed.

All Staff Must Sign Before Testing
- All staff should have test security training and sign the Large Scale Assessment Security Agreement prior to the administration of statewide assessments.
- Any staff in contact with secure testing materials or devices must sign the security agreement.
- The WDE recommends that assessment security training be conducted in the fall before assessments begin, as well as in the spring before summative assessments.
- EL screeners are considered statewide assessments and all personnel administering these assessments must have both a WIDA Non-Disclosure Agreement and a Wyoming Large Scale Assessment Agreement.

Day 1 Virtual Event from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on September 16, 2022 via Zoom
- In partnership with Marzano Research, the WDE offered Data Literacy Training in five regional locations in July 2022. This event is also being offered in a virtual format, via Zoom. This is an opportunity for educators and leaders to come together and explore the effect of the COVID pandemic on achievement. In the session, participants will engage in a facilitated, data-driven, decision making process with Marzano Research leaders, using rigorously analyzed, combined WY-TOPP/WY-ALT data.
- Attendance as district or school teams is preferable. Districts can register multiple teams. When creating teams, consider district/school administrators, teacher leaders from assessed content areas, instructional facilitators, curriculum specialists, assessment coordinator/data specialist, and educators of special populations.

Day 2 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on October 10-12, 2022
- In partnership with Marzano Research, the WDE will offer Day 2 of the Data Literacy Training.
- This follow-up session is designed to support leaders in exploring their own specific questions using local data to develop school improvement plans and goals. Attendance as a team is preferable.
- Training will be held on October 10, 2022 in Riverton, October 11 in Casper, and October 12 in Cheyenne.
