Student Listing for 2022–23 Local Remote Learning ADA Funding Eligibility Now Available

Texas Education Agency Update

November 30, 2022

TO THE ADMINISTRATOR ADDRESSED:

As prescribed by Senate Bill (SB) 15, local education agencies (LEAs) may receive full average daily attendance (ADA) funding for students who attend local remote learning programs at any point during the 2022–23 school year if the remote instruction and the attending student meet certain statutory requirements.

The Student Listing for 2022–23 Local Remote Learning ADA Funding Eligibility in the Texas Education Agency Login (TEAL) Accountability application is intended to help LEAs determine funding eligibility for students who may participate in a local remote learning program. The responsibility for making the final determination on a student’s eligibility for funding lies with the LEA. Attendance data is auditable.

Please note that due to data limitations, the student listing provides enrollment information based on the School Year 2022–23 Tracking Reporting, 2021–22  STAAR performance outcomes, and 2021–22  attendance. TEA does not have access to course grade data, unexcused absence counts, nor any local beginning of year (BOY) assessment results, so LEAs will be able use the list provided by TEA as a starting point but must independently determine and document student eligibility for remote ADA.

This listing is intended to help LEAs determine funding eligibility for students who may participate in a local remote learning program under Senate Bill 15. The responsibility for making the final determination on a student's eligibility for funding lies with the LEA.

If you have further questions about the Student Listing for 2022–23 Local Remote Learning ADA Funding Eligibility, please reach out to Performance Reporting at (512) 463-9704 or performance.reporting@tea.texas.gov. Thank you.
