Rainstorms Continue!
County of Marin, California sent this bulletin at 01/13/2023 04:07 PM PSTTo all District 2 Residents,
Thank you for all your efforts in keeping your storm drains and waterways clear during this unprecedented stretch of rainy weather.
The wind and rain are going to continue through early next week, and perhaps beyond, so please remain vigilant and stay prepared. The weather forecast is calling for rain today and continuing through the weekend, heavy at times. The ground is already completely saturated, so periods of heavy rain can quickly turn into flooding and we are at increased risk for downed trees and power-outages.
As water levels rise in yards and creeks, you may want to consider sandbagging where appropriate. Government provided sandbags and sandbag materials are available at several locations throughout District 2 for community use.
Lastly, as a reminder, the County’s emergency portal offers a range of information on weather/ flooding including, weather updates, preparation, and access to stream gauge information.
If you are not already signed up for AlertMarin, now is the time to do so.
Take care, stay safe.
