Notice: 2022 prompt first action report
The Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) must publish an annual report about the first action timeliness of all insurers (see Minnesota Statutes
§ 176.223 (2020)). For 2022, DLI is not providing a full report and associated claim-specific reporting chart about the first action timeliness of all entities for the reasons noted below.
DLI will not be publishing a full report because the "First Action" tab in Work Comp Campus is not accurate. Pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 176.223 (b), the report will not include claim-specific data or information. Although the statute provides "by Feb. 15, 2023 ... the insurer must electronically file corrected data with the commissioner ...," this is not expected for 2022 claims. See Minn. Stat. § 176.223 (b).
DLI suggests you review your Campus "First Action" tab regularly to ensure your claims reflect the correct information and submit the correct electronic data interchange (EDI) transactions.
