Camp Horizon Day Camp Counselors – $12.00 /hour

Responsibilities include scheduling, planning, and implementing activities involving all aspects of recreation including sports, games, arts and crafts, drama, dance, and nature activities for children 5-12 years. Also included are report and schedule preparation and other duties as assigned. Applicants must be dedicated, enthusiastic, hard working, creative individuals who love working with children. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Those with or working toward a degree in Recreation, Education, or a related field are desired. Applicants must be available to work June 10 through August 9. Camp program runs for eight weeks, Monday through Friday, beginning June 17. Position falls under the direct supervision of the Camp Director. Forty (40) hours per week with limited overtime opportunities.

Camp Horizon & Scamper Day Camp Assistant Director – $13.83 /hour

Responsibilities include assisting with overall operations of a day camp that serves children 3-12 years of age; administration duties which require organization of camper registration records and payment records with a computer data base, purchasing and processing invoices, maintaining attendance records, answering phones and other administrative duties as assigned, assist with supervision of staff and campers, as well as supervision of scamper camp operations. Applicants must be highly organized, with good record keeping skills and practice good public relations. Experience working with children is required and in a recreation or education field is highly desirable. Computer knowledge and data base application is required. Applicants must be at least 21 year of age and have a valid driver’s license. If hired, this position requires certification in First Aid and CPR. Applicants must be able to work May 28 through August 13. The Camp program runs for eight weeks. Monday through Friday, beginning June 17. Position falls under the direct supervision of the Camp Director. The job is up to fifty (50) hours per week during the eight weeks of the program.

Camp Horizon & Scamper Day Camp Director – $15.25 /hour

Responsibilities include managing overall operations of a day camp that serves children 3-12 years of age; supervision of camp staff, staff training, enforcing policy and procedures, public relations, monitoring camp budget, writing reports, plan camp trips and activities, scheduling facilities, administration of first aid and medication. Applicants must have one year of supervisory experience in a camp setting or child related field. Experience working with children is required and preferably in a day camp setting. A degree in Recreation Management or Education is desirable. Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills are needed. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license. If hired, this position requires certification in First Aid and CPR. Applicants must be able to work May 28 through August 13. The camp program runs for eight weeks, Monday through Friday, beginning June 17. The job is up to fifty (50) hours per week during the eight weeks of the program.
