Updated vaccine offers the best protection
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends everyone 6 months and older get an updated COVID-19 vaccine to protect against potentially serious illness this fall and winter. Updated COVID-19 vaccines are available at some pharmacies, health care providers and clinics, with more to come. Find a COVID-19 vaccine at vaccines.gov.
Please note that the fall 2023 updated vaccine is not yet available at the clinics listed on our vaccine webpage. Check back for updates.

Why do I need an updated vaccine?
If the last time you received a COVID-19 vaccine was more than two months ago, it’s time to get an updated vaccine. Updated vaccine shots help build protection that has decreased since your last shot, and provide better protection against newer variants. Getting the updated vaccine is an important part of protecting yourself from getting seriously ill from COVID-19.
If you recently had COVID-19, you still need to stay up to date with your vaccines, but consider delaying your vaccine by 3 months. Reinfection is less likely in the weeks to months after infection. Learn more.
