Portion of Gough Street to Close as Work Continues on the Central Avenue Streetscape and Bridge Project
Gough Street to remain closed until April 2021
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that Gough Street will soon close at the intersection of Central Avenue for underground utility/conduit work as construction continues on the Central Avenue Streetscape and Bridge Project.
Starting at approximately 6:00 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, October 9, 2020 Gough Street will be closed to through traffic at Central Avenue with detours in effect. Once this closure is implemented, there will be no through traffic along both eastbound and westbound Gough Street at the intersection of Central Avenue, and access from Central Avenue to Gough Street will be restricted.
In addition, parking restrictions will be implemented in this vicinity along both Gough Street and Central Avenue. Motorists should pay close attention to ‘No Parking’ signs that have been posted in this area.
The closure of Gough Street at the intersection of Central Avenue is expected to remain in effect through April 2021, weather permitting. Variable message signs have been placed in the area to alert motorists of the closure, and detour signs have been posted. Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
